Take the logged in sidebar public

This logged in sidebar experience is lovely and modern and it would be cool if you could present it to logged out users when they first arrive on the domain. Probably by showing other public communities or featured communities in left sidebar when they're browsing the public version of the community.

This is a super interesting idea...it has a lot of implications, but I'm going to spike it out when I get the chance and see how it feels!

To me if would be a little like going to reddit and seeing what your personal subreddit banner/sidebar looks like - except it's prefilled with popular communities.

Oh right! That's a good example of that approach. I always forget about Reddit. 😂
