Neovim in the age of Cursor

Hi Indierailers,

Earlier this fall, I invested some time getting up to speed with Neovim. It was a lot easier to learn than I first thought, and it actually gave me a lot of new motivation and a great sense of satisfaction while coding. For the first time, it also enabled me to work seamlessly on both Mac and Linux side by side.

However, Cursor showed up on my doorstep and kind of disrupted it all. Cursor is so effective that I now feel it’s hard not to use it, as it speeds up all my work by a factor of 10x. I really wish someone in the Neovim community could create something that works as well as Cursor.

What do you think? Anyone else with a similar experience?

Cheers, and thanks, Jeremy, for setting up the forum.

I've been using neovim for a while, but it's real hard to ignore Cursor and that has definitely become my main editor lately. One thing that is nice, is that I can use vim bindings in Cursor - I don't think I would've been able to switch if that wasn't the case

Thanks jespr. I need to try that again, the vim bindings. Are you using the plugin then? What are your most used shortcuts that works well with cursor? I found it important to be able to jump between the 1) editor, 2) chat, 3) terminal the most useful. Should probably work out how to "accept" code changes as well, that would be awesome. Gladly take your tips on how to make it feel more like home.
